Ok, so this isn't really any tech content, but I am a firm believer in a good education. It's the one thing you can never have taken away from you no matter how poor or your situation!
Our government is bailing out banks, auto companies and Wall St., but when it comes times for NY and NJ to tighten it's belt, they choose state funds and education? Where is the bailout for Education employees? Where are the large bonuses for the schools that have high graduate rates? I think our priorities are a bit out of whack in this country.
I don't think it is a great idea to cut school employee jobs at ALL! We are at the highest point of enrollment due to people losing their jobs and going back to school. Maybe we can use less money to subsidize corn and start making real food? Maybe we can stop this b.s. war? I can list a ton of other idea's on how we can easily save our schools and eliminate things we all don't need!
