We wonder why Republicans have so much animosity against Socialized health care reform? We all know insurance & drug companies are the big money makers, but who exactly is pocketing some of these funds? You know the Bush family has a hand in this piggy bank: NY Times: Behind the Agenda
It is amazing how most Americans would rather get sick in a foreign country than in our own. This past month a co-worker was stuck in Italy due to the volcano ash for a few weeks. During that time she had broken a tooth. She walked into a dentist, who fixed the tooth, gave her a temporary cap & refused to take a dime. I have had health & dental insurance almost my entire life, and I can't even leave my doctors office not shelling out, at minimum my co-pay (not including the monthly premiums)
We say that it would cost our country way too much money to give everyone health insurance, but doesn't unpaid medical bills (because people can't afford it), unhealthy citizens from lack of medical care, and a decline in age expectancy in our children in decades cost our country more in the long run?
