Google and it's wonderful operating system Android, has introduced Google TV. This is what I have been waiting for. With the increase in prices of cable companies, I have been researching for months on the most efficient way to do away with cable.
Most large cable and prime time channels allow you to watch their show a few days after the initial air date, but having live streaming tv, and not just news, would be a great addition. Firefox offers a free TV plug-in for your toolbar 'TV LIVE STREAM', but the features are limited. It does include Hulu & other live TV streaming options. There are also Satellite TV programs that are fairly inexpensive, and a one-time fee, as opposed to a monthly fee with cable.
Google has a great alternative in the works that will soon be available on new televisions, Blu-Ray players, and desk-top boxes. With the increase in popularity of the open-source operating system Android, Google is giving Microsoft and Apple a run for their money.Wired.com Article
